Value-Points and Task Prioritisation

Making fast decisions about business priorities and balancing how resource are deployed remains a difficult management task even during normal operations.  OpsComm provide a unique solution which provides instant visibility for both managers and employees to help them make prioritisation issues fast and easy.  Managers can see what work is committed at a glance and evaluate how important a task is to the manager and the company.  Directors and the CEO secure visibility about how their resources are setting priorities and most importantly see how the organisation as a whole is focusing effort towards meeting short and medium term goals.

OpsComm uses the OpsComm propreitary “Value-Points” system to assign a common “currency” to the value of task across the organisation.  Our simple but very powerful points based system provides a easy way to communicate the value of activity across the business and to help work out which tasks are more valuable than others.  Value-Points forces managers to think about the importance of activities and provides a simple way for employees to appreciate relative importance.  OpsComm uses the Value-Points system to drive our task prioritisation as well as forming the basis for incentive and rewards schemes.
